Over the last nine years, we’ve grown organically produced vegetables and dry corn on 10 acres of century-old farmland in the foothills of North Carolina. Sharing the story of working and living on the land, we’ve run a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, attended Cobblestone Farmers’ Market, distributed produce to local restaurants and stores, and run an on-farm store. We are growers with a mission to provide the healthiest, seasonal vegetables to our community, maintaining an emphasis on the stewardship of the land and the preservation of its history.

In 2022 we decided to let our fields lay fallow and pursue some of our other passions. We are in the process of deciding what York Farm will produce moving forward into 2025 and beyond. To our loyal customers: we miss growing food for you and sharing the farm through our CSA and the farmers' market. It’s as important as ever to support sustainable local farmers producing real and healthy food. Thank you for your support over the last six years and for helping us revitalize and steward this special piece of land!

A portrait documentary of a young, first year farmer learning what it means to love a piece of land. Filmed in 2016. Directed, produced & edited by Andrew Harrison Brown Co-Produced by Rick Cross Story Background: In 2016, Kyle decided to leave the city and an education in pre-med behind & move out to his family’s century-old farmland. Co-producer Rick Cross, a friend of the York Farm family, shared the story of Kyle’s endeavor to Andrew Harrison Brown (producer of feature films WHEN LAMBS BECOME LIONS and KIFARU). Andrew was looking for a project that would give him the opportunity to learn how to direct and edit. From there, the team filmed Kyle’s first year as an organic farmer. Special thanks to Kyle, Nicole & Nancy for sharing a chapter of your story and a few lessons you learned along the way with us. yorkfarmnc.com Music by The Wild Reeds, Noah & The Whale, Houses, Aeuria, Blind Willie Johnson, The Oh Hellos, The Barr Brothers
