6.10.19 Since we are not pursuing a CSA this year, we have the opportunity to donate these funds elsewhere in our community which we are grateful to be able to prioritize! Thanks to your support, we have begun donating produce to Samaritan Ministries in Winston-Salem and will continue to give throughout the growing season.
Community Supported Agriculture, at its best, is an alive and engaged community of people invested in helping each other eat more local, organically grown produce, where each individual is empowered to have an active role in their own health. In order to facilitate a more inclusive and community-centric CSA program, we believe that everyone who wants to participate in a CSA should be able to, regardless of demographic or socio-economic status. We are asking members of our CSA community to donate any amount they can in order for us to provide a heavily discounted CSA share to anyone who feels that is suitable for them.
In 2018, we are starting to cultivate this option as an aspect of our CSA and hope to be able to offer Community Boxes soon! If you, or someone you know, may be interested in a discounted CSA share, please subscribe to our newsletter and send us an email so we can gauge interest and move toward offering this option! Let us know what you think!
If you are interested in donating to our Community Boxes, please visit the store, by clicking here, and give any amount you are able. Absolutely every bit matters as we all continue to strive for a more open food system with higher agricultural standards for every single individual in our community. Thank you for your support!
